"Glover"

is a multi-disciplinary production artist and self-confessed academic currently in his final year of the MFA program in Theatre Arts at Towson University.

An international student from Scotland, Glover was awarded the Bradbury Prize for Drama from Chester University in 1997 and was invited to become a Fellow of the National Critic’s Institute at the O'Neill Theatre Centre, Connecticut in 2007 after winning the region2 KCACTF Student Theatre Critics final and being runner up in the National Final.

Glover has worked in professional theatre as a lighting and sound technician since 1994 at venues including, The Strand (London’s West End), The King’s Theatre (Glasgow), The Gateway (Chester, UK), The Edinburgh Festival (Scotland), The South Eastern Theatre Conference (SETC), The Ko Festival (Amherst, MA), The Reginald F. Lewis (Baltimore, MD) and three years as a Production Manager on international cruise ships.

Recently Glover has been concentrating on two massive projects. Firstly, integrating film techniques into his Performance Art work and embracing the objectivity of documentary film making after making several short documentaries for the WordBRIDGE Playwrights' Laboratory. Secondly, Glover is finding new ways to integrate sculpture techniques and forms into both mainstream theatre and Performance Art. He is currently curating his first sculpture exhibition. Both projects are taking up a lot of time...

After defending his MFA Glover intends to find a teaching position or artist's residency which will allow him to continue his explorations with film, digital media, performance art, audio reproduction and manipulation, live performance, philosophy, writing, sculpture,  religious studies, semiotics, Post-Structuralist Theory, popular culture and ground-breaking work in the quantitative analysis of audience psychology. Or he intends to find a nice quite cabin in the woods near a stream and forget all about that stuff.
